Within the framework of the republican campaign “One Country – One Book,” the novel “Tagdyr” (Fate) by the People’s Writer of Kazakhstan Kabdesh Zhumadilov was selected for nationwide reading.
The purpose of the campaign is to promote reading and popularize the best works of national literature, preserve our spiritual heritage, and provide moral, ethical, and patriotic education for young people. In this regard, a literary evening titled “A Figure of History and Destiny” dedicated to the work of Kabdesh Zhumadilov was organized.
The aim of the event was to widely promote the writer’s life and creative work.
During the evening, Associate Professor of Makhambet Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Rita Bekzhankyzy Sultangalieva, spoke about the depth of the writer’s personality and the richness of his creative world.
Student Ernar Zhakupov from the KYAL (IP) 11/3 group shared his thoughts on the historical novel “Tagdyr”. The monologue of the novel’s main character Demezhan was impressively performed by Bagdat Muratulı, a student of the Acting program and an actor of the student theater “Murager”.
Student Mengsara Abatova from group Dov-31(3) recited her own poem “Oralym”. Ulbolsyn Oryngali from the QTA (IP) group expressively read the dedication “Kara Nar” by Galym Kalibekuly to Kabdesh Zhumadilov. Student Askhat Baidauletov from the VI-11 group performed the song “Qazaqtai El Qaida”.
At the end of the evening, librarian R.A. Mazimova presented a bibliographic review of the book exhibition titled “Lessons from History – Tribute to the Past”, highlighting the spiritual value of the writer’s works.
The literary evening became one of the memorable events paying tribute to spirituality and honoring the legacy of an outstanding literary figure.
