A presentation of an exhibition was held at the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov as part of the national book reading marathon “The Reading Nation.”

This is a large-scale intellectual and educational project aimed at fostering a culture of regular reading, developing critical and analytical thinking, and establishing the book as an essential source of knowledge. The marathon brings together participants across 7 categories: schoolchildren, college and university students, educators, families, intellectuals, and civil servants.

🗓 The marathon runs from September 2026 to March 2027.

Participants are required to read 15 books, progress to the final stage, and compete for the title of the country's best readers. Winners will receive diplomas, special prizes, and recognition at a national award ceremony.

To date, about 1,500 people from WKU have registered to participate in the marathon.

The exhibition organized at the university will serve as a great platform where books can spark new knowledge, ideas, and discussions.
