On February 11, 2025, the Scientific Library, in collaboration with teachers of Philology Faculty and the Educational Program for Training Teachers of Foreign Languages and Literature – D. B. Navekova – along with students from groups IYa-21, IYa-22, and IYa-29 of the “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” educational program, organized a literary and musical evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s national writer and poet Qadyr Myrza Ali under the title “The Master of Poetic Words – Qadyr Akyn”.
The main goal of the event was to popularize the creative legacy of Qadyr Myrza Ali among the younger generation.
Guests of the evening had the opportunity to enjoy not only live poetry readings but also musical performances based on his works. Dias Beysov, a student from group IYa-22, performed the song “Tamasha”, written to Qadyr Myrza Ali’s lyrics, while Amina Edres gave a solo performance of the song “Qazaq osy”, with lyrics by the poet and music composed by Ashirkhan Telgozhiev.
As part of the event, a video about the life and creative journey of the poet was presented. To provide a more comprehensive introduction to his work, Professor Zeynolla Zhaksylykuly from M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, a Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, and recipient of the Qadyr Myrza Ali Medal, gave a detailed talk on the poet’s life and contributions.
Throughout the evening, students recited Qadyr Myrza Ali’s poetry. Kuan Zhaina (group IYa-29) presented the poem “El”, while Zhasulan Asel (group IYa-21) read “Kuzdіn uzak zhauyny”. Students Mukhitov Maulet and Bitebay Aruzhan (group Mob-21) performed “Zhyraktagy zhakyn doska”, and students Ermekkaliyeva Aishat and Marisova Albina (group IYa-21) delivered heartfelt recitations of “Tangazhajyp…” and “Tamasha”, bringing the beauty of the poet’s verses to life.
Scientific Library librarian Raushangul Alibekovna Mazimova introduced guests to a bibliographic review of the book exhibition “The Master of Poetic Words – Qadyr Akyn”, dedicated to Qadyr Myrza Ali’s literary works.
The evening concluded with a powerful performance of the famous song “Atameken”, with lyrics by Qadyr Myrza Ali and music composed by Eskendir Khasangaliyev.
This event became not just a tribute to a great poet but also an inspiring celebration of Kazakh literature and culture.
