On September 24, 2025, a literary evening titled "The Name of the Great Will Live for Millennia" was organized jointly by the Scientific Library and the Faculty of Philology to mark the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Abai Kunanbayuly. The event was attended by faculty members and students.

The evening began with a video dedicated to the poet's creative legacy. The Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Associate Professor of M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, PhD Aidarbek Akhmetuly Akbolatov, gave an in-depth talk on Abai’s spiritual heritage and life journey.

During the literary evening, the poet’s poems were recited by students: "Өзгеге көңілім тоярсың" - Gaisa Jasmin, student of the Kazakh Language and Literature program (group ҚТӘ-41) "Ауру жүрек ақырын соғады жай" - M. Turkebayeva, group Кял Англ-21 "Сабырсыз, арсыз, еріншек" - N. Akhmetova, group ҚТӘ IP-11 "Есіңде бар ма жас күнің?" - U. Oryngali, group ҚТӘ(IP)-21 "Сегіз аяқ" - A. Myrzagerei, group ҚТӘ IP-11 "Өлсем, орным қара жер сыз болмай ма?" - K. Seitkhoja, group ҚТӘ IP-17 "Өлең – сөздің патшасы, сөз сарасы" - A. Nurlankyzy, group ҚТӘ-17 "Өлсе өлер табиғат, адам өлмес" - Aizhan Esen "Білектей арқасында өрген бұрым" - A. Qairqulova, group ҚТӘ IP-11 "Әсемпаз болма әрнеге" - A. Meketova, Primary Education (NO) IP-11 "Құлақтан кіріп бойды алар" - N. Medetqyzy. The 37th word from Abai’s Book of Words was recited expressively by Inabat Asylbekova, student of group ҚТӘ IP-11. Dauren Sadiyev, a student from group ҚТӘ IP-13, dedicated his own poem to Abai. In addition, songs by the poet were performed: "Zhelsiz tunde zharik ai" by Aigerim Izturganova and Asem Kuantqanova (ҚТӘ IP-13) "Kozimnin qarasy" by Diyas Beisov (Foreign Languages: Two Foreign Languages Program, ИЯ-32) and Aigerim Izturganova (ҚТӘ IP-13).

Later, a bibliographic review of the book exhibition titled "The Name of the Great Will Live for Millennia", dedicated to Abai’s works, was presented by librarian Zhanar Kubieva.

At the end of the event, teachers and librarians expressed their gratitude to the students who participated in the literary evening.
