On March 17, 2025, in the reading room of the Department of Pedagogy, Culture and Art, as part of the History of Achievements project, a meeting with Askat Abdeshev, a senior lecturer at the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Master of Arts in Art History, a laureate of Republican regional and city exhibitions and competitions, a diploma holder of the International "Shabyt" festival, was held.

During the evening, Askat Bekkaliuly gave a fascinating talk about his creative path, experience and achievements in the field of art. The participants received valuable information about the intricacies of fine arts, including linocut, creative search and ways to improve skills.

During the meeting, the artist told about his path from his first steps in art to his current achievements, and shared the main principles that he adheres to in his artistic work. In addition, he reflected on the importance of works of art, their role in promoting national culture, and the modern art scene in Kazakhstan.

He also showed graphic illustrations based on the lyrical-heroic poem "Zhaskelen-Konyrsha", found in the state archive of the West Kazakhstan region, and gave in-depth information about how each of their works was performed.

Students and teachers who participated in the event asked questions that interested them and were saturated with important information related to the field of art. The meeting took the form of a warm and free conversation, becoming a source of inspiration and motivation for the participants.

At the end of the evening, the participants expressed their gratitude to Askat Abdeshev, took a commemorative photo, and expressed their confidence that such creative meetings will be organized more often in the future.
