On October 11, 2024, the Faculty of Philology hosted a literary and musical evening dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the famous Kazakh writer, poet, statesman and founder of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Seifullin. The evening was called "Seken - zhyrdyn sarqylmas dariyasy" (Seken - an inexhaustible source of poetry). The purpose of the event was to give young people a deep understanding of the life and work of S. Seifullin, as well as to help them understand the main features of his literary heritage. The event was attended by teachers, staff and students of the faculty. The evening began with a video dedicated to the writer's work. Professor, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Mutiev Zeynulla Zhaksylykuly made an opening speech, who spoke in more detail about the life and work of the poet, shared new facts. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology for educational work Albina Sansyzbaykyzy expressed gratitude to the students who took part in the event.

Second-year student of the Faculty of Philology Abdusheva Madina performed the Kazakh folk song "Erke sylkym". Next, the poems of Saken Seyfullin were read by students: the poem “Tugan Zherim - Oz Elim” was read by 1st year student IFL-11 (IP) BBB Kizatova Ayaulym, “Kokshetau” - student of the KyalAngl-11 group Turkebayeva Makhabbat, “Cheese Sandyk” (From a letter to a friend) – student of Phil-11 Orynbai Akbota, “Anaga Hat” – student of Chem-11 Myrzagalieva Jasmin, “Bizdin dauir” – student of Chem-11 Ruslankyzy Asel. All of them performed the poet’s poems expressively and with deep intonation.

In addition, a first-year student of the BBB majoring in Kazakh Language and Literature, Edres Amina, performed Saken Seifullin's song "Bizdin Zhakta". As part of the event, a book exhibition "Tugyry Biik Tulga" (High Personality) was organized, where librarian Raushangul Mazimova conducted a bibliographic review.

At the end of the evening, Edres Amina performed the song "Tugan Zher" and summed up the event. We express our gratitude to the teachers and students who participated in this event on behalf of the scientific library.
