23.04.2025 On the occasion of the National Book Day, an event entitled “I Know the World Through Books” was organized. By the Government Resolution, a new holiday in Kazakhstan, April 23, was established as “National Book Day”. This holiday was established in connection with the instruction given by the Head of State at the main session of the Third National Congress to form a reading culture in society. “Bookworm is a good quality. Many countries celebrate National Book Day. First of all, we need to encourage young people to read. Then we will become a nation of mass book readers,” the President said in his speech at the third session of the National Congress.
The event was attended by university students and faculty and the organizer of the “Jaiyk books” readers’ club, Galymzhan Miras, who exchanged views with students.
The event featured books donated by the Center for History and Archeology of the West Kazakhstan Region and books by G.A. Kushaev, S.G. Sharabasov, S.M. Sdykov, B.I. Sarsenbayeva, T.Z. Rysbekov, exhibitions of books donated by the university's scientific library from his personal library and newly arrived fiction were organized.
